Posting messages to this bulletin board


If you want to post a message to this bulletin board, use your standard
e-mail program and address the message to the Internet address:

     mailing_list_name@mailhub.ornl.gov

Please choose the subject of your message carefully because it will
show up in the bulletin board's table of contents.

When you send a message to the above address, the message will be
converted to the standard format for the World Wide Web, which is HTML.
If you know HTML and would like to include HTML in your message,
you will need to enclose it in <HTML> and </HTML> tags. For example,

   <HTML>
   This text will be <B>interpreted</B> as HTML.
   </HTML>

This text would look like:

   This text will be interpreted as HTML.

There is no limit to how many times you can use this technique in your
message.

The most practical use of HTML is to create a hyperlink. For example,
if I wanted to include a
hyperlink to the ORNL external home page, I'd type:

   Here is a link to the
   <HTML>
   <A HREF="http://www.ornl.gov">ORNL external home page.</A>
   </HTML>

This text would look like:

Here is a link to the ORNL external home page.
