Spatial and Spatiotemporal Data Mining (SSTDM-09)
A workshop entitled Spatial and Spatiotemporal Data Mining (SSTDM-09) will be held on 6th December, 2009, at Miami, FL. SSTDM has been a leading forum for the past 6 years (4th along with the prestigious IEEE International Conference on Data Mining) to share, exchange, and discuss recent advances in the broad area of spatial data mining. This peer-reviewed workshop on spatial data mining is being jointly organized by researchers and faculty from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, University of Minnesota, George Mason University, and the Indiana University-Purdue University. The program was drawn from more than 35 submissions from all the continents after a rigorous peer-review process by an International program committee. In addition to the oral and poster presentations, the workshop features two keynote speakers and a multidisciplinary panel consisting of eminent scholars from academia and the government agencies. The topics of interest for this workshop include theoretical foundations and applications of spatial and spatiotemporal data mining as well as image information mining, geospatial intelligence, and high performance data mining.
