ORNL researcher to join editorial board of Journal of Physical Chemistry

Dr. John C. Miller of the Department of Energy's (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) will join the editorial board of the Journal of Physical Chemistry. He heads the Health Sciences Research Division's Chemical and Biological Physics Section at ORNL.
Miller has written more than 90 literature publications and has edited three books. He has received an R&D 100 Award and was selected as a NATO International Collaboration Fellow. Miller is a fellow of the American Physical Society and of the Optical Society of America. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Miller joined ORNL in 1979. He has been a visiting professor at Universite de Paris-Sud, Orsay France, and an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee.
He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology and doctorate in physical chemistry from the University of Colorado.
Miller lives with his wife, Gray, and their son, Marshall, in Oak Ridge.
ORNL, one of DOE's multiprogram national research and development facilities, is managed by Martin Marietta Energy Systems, a Lockheed Martin Company, which also manages the Oak Ridge K-25 Site and the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant.
