Davison named group leader in Biochemical Engineering Group

OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Aug. 28, 1996 — Dr. Brian Davison has been named group leader of the Biochemical Engineering Group in the Energy Research Section of the Chemical Technology Division of the Department of Energy's (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).

Davison had been serving as acting group leader since November 1995. Since joining ORNL in 1985, Davison has been involved in a number of projects related to biochemical engineering.

He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester (N.Y.) and master's and doctoral degrees from the California Institute of Technology. Davison earned a Martin Marietta Energy Systems Technical Achievement Award in 1992 and a Significant Event Award in 1987.

Davison is a resident of Farragut.

ORNL, one of DOE's multiprogram national research and development facilities, is managed by Lockheed Martin Energy Research Corp.
