Global Venture Challenge 2010 is a unique educational event that brings together graduate student teams from across the country and around the world to present entrepreneurial ideas and to compete for significant cash prizes. Global Venture Challenge 2010 will feature two tracks focused on innovations in energy and security with cash prizes of $25,000 awarded to the winning team for each track.
Track 1 is sponsored by the Department of Energy's Industrial Technologies Program and will address innovations in Advanced Materials for a Sustainable Energy Future for advancing technologies to save energy and money, increase productivity and reduce environmental impacts; and Track 2 is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security Community and Regional Resilience Institute to address innovations in Community Resilience and Homeland Security for enhancing the ability of communities to recover rapidly from natural and manmade disasters. The event will also include a venture showcase to highlight other entrepreneurial ventures in these areas of interest.
