Research Experience and Interests
Neil's major interests are in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), software development, large data analysis, data modeling and visualization. He taught software analysis, design, and implementation classess as an assoicate professor in the Computer Science Department at East Tenneessee State University. At Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Dr. Thomas has developed software systems for network optimization, supply chain analysis, lifecycle cost, resiliency and risk models, and biofuels analysis.
