Methods / Choosing the right method

Spatially-resolved chemical-specific information is of vital importance in understanding an assortment of systems on molecular level. Choosing the right method for getting these kinds of data often comes down to understanding sampling, sample size, solubility constraints, concentrations, and many other factors. While pushing (and, at times, removing) the boundaries between these techniques is a subject of much current basic research, here is some potentially useful information.

Our projects can be subdivided into a few different (sometimes overlapping) categories:

Liquid Extraction Probes
Thermal Desorption Probes
Laser Desorption Probes
Workflow Interfacing
Commercial Probes/Surface Analysis Methods
