Often surface sampling and mass spectral imaging can be done on samples in their native conditions, however, an interesting part of our research is the development and use of workflow-friendly surfaces and methods that are capable of enhancing sensitivity and selectivity by eliminating certain matrix effects and other compounds deleterious to signal.
