| In this invited review article, Dagotto and Tokura briefly review the current status of the area of strongly correlated electrons. Emphasis is given to the many interesting phases that arise from the competition between several tendencies involving the charge, spin, and orbital degrees of freedom. An outlook discussion addresses double perovskites, multiferroic manganites, orbitronics, and other topics. |
