Abstract of How to Put Web Statistics Back in the Laps of
Site "Owners"
Usage statistics can be an important management tool for monitoring
and improving Web sites. While the raw data is easy to obtain,
interpreting and using it can be difficult. We will report on a
statistics tracking initiative at NREL where we worked with our
customers and technical staff to analyze needs and strategize on
technical solutions. The result of this effort was the creation of a
new statistical reporting system which provides more meaningful data,
