Quality Assurance for Web Sites
As our Web publishing business has grown at NREL, the number of
Web
sites has increased dramatically. Many more staff are involved
in Web
production work, and there is a need for more coordination. The
"Web
Team, " our core group of Web IT and communications specialists,
identified the need for a more formal quality assurance process
for new
Web sites. We will report on the steps we took over the last year
to
define new standards and practices. The trick was to come up
with
tools and processes that are practical, enforceable, and easy to
use.
