New Encyclopedia Release

Encyclopedia of the Mouse Genome version 1.0a17 for the Macintosh is now available from the Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI) Web site ( New features and enhancements include support for MGD-Encyclopedia interaction via Netscape, a "zoom box" for zooming in on a mouse map, and "Preferences" dialog changes that enable users to specify an MGD host or select a browser for interaction. Human Genome Project 1990–2003

The Human Genome Project (HGP) was an international 13-year effort, 1990 to 2003. Primary goals were to discover the complete set of human genes and make them accessible for further biological study, and determine the complete sequence of DNA bases in the human genome.
