Explanation of 15-minute Data Format

File Name Format = MMDDYY.dat 
Example 102501.dat contains data for October 25, 2001

Data Columns
Note: -999.99 values represent data not measured for a given site

Columns below are described in the order they appear in the data set (from left to right):

Column 1 - Station Identifier.  Each tower has a four-character identifier.
	     Currently these include: TOWA, TOWB, TOWC, TOWY, WEST, 1208, 1209, 208A, TVAW  
		  TOWA = ORNL HFIR
		  TOWB = ORNL 7000 Area
		  TOWC = ORNL 1000 Area
		  TOWY = Y12 PSS Office
		  WEST = Y12 SW side
		  1208 = ETTP K1070 Area
		  1209 = ETTP K1650 Area
		  208A = SW end of Bear Creek Valley near NE side of Clinch River
		  TVAW = TVA Watts Barr 
Column 2 - Date of observation.  Format is MMDDYY where MM = Month, DD = Day of Month, and YY = Year
Column 3 - Time of observation.  Time given represents the START time for the given 15-minute period.
Column 4 - Wind direction (from) at 10 meters above ground level in degrees (TOWA, TOWB, TOWC, 1208, 1209, 208A, WEST, TVAW)
Column 4 - Wind direction (from) at 15 meters above ground level in degrees (TOWY)
Column 5 - Wind direction (from) at 30 meters above ground level in degrees (TOWA, TOWB, TOWC, 1209)
Column 5 - Wind direction (from) at 33 meters above ground level in degrees (TOWY)
Column 6 - Wind direction (from) at 46 meters above ground level in degrees (TVAW)
Column 6 - Wind direction (from) at 60 meters above ground level in degrees (1208, WEST)
Column 7 - Wind direction (from) at 91 meters above ground level in degrees (TVAW)
Column 7 - Wind direction (from) at 100 meters above ground level in degrees (TOWC)
Column 8 - Wind speed (from) at 10 meters above ground level in degrees (TOWA, TOWB, TOWC, 1208, 1209, 208A, WEST, TVAW)

Column 17 - Current 15-min stability (SRDT plus NRC method).  A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, F=6, G=7.
Column 18 - 23 - Not in current use
Column 24 - Precipitation measured at ground level in inches (TOWC, TOWY, WEST, 1208, 1209, TVAW)
Column 25 - Barometric pressure measured near ground level NOT CORRECTED to sea level in inches (TOWC, TOWY, WEST, 1208, 1209)
Column 26 - Solar radiation in Langleys (TOWC, TOWY, WEST, 1208, 1209)
