VDRIVE: VULCAN Data Reduction and Interactive Visualization softwarE
VDRIVE is a suite of neutron diffraction data reduction and analysis software with interactive visualization functions. It is developed for the unique event data structure at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) and specifically coded for Engineering Diffractometers such as VULCAN. It is developed in IDL by Dr. Ke An, currently, lead scientist at VULCAN.
Main functions of this software are:
•Fast event based data reduction: time focusing, normalization, subtraction.
•Event neutron and sample environment data synchronization, separation and various time binning.
•Imbedded in SNS instrument software and managed data flow for real-time data reduction.
•Lattice strain calculation by single peak fitting and Rietveld refinement.
•Interactive data visualization for, strains, peak fitting parameters, TOF, mapping data in 2D/3D
•Editable one-step publishable figure output
•Multi-plots: line, scatters, contour, surface, mesh, projection…,
Supporting software needed for using this software
